The Catholic daily Mass is a prayer itself, is even the highest prayer that exists. It is the Sacrifice dedicated by our Redeemer at the Cross, and it should be repeated every day on the altar.
There is nothing so great as the Eucharist because it’s the faith we share in the sacrifice of the holy mass. Is also good to hear the word of God and reflect on the homily of each day as we worship God.
Merciful Father, purify us in body and soul and make us worthy to taste the Holy of Holies.
We celebrate the feast of St. Katharine Drexel, Virgin. She came from a prominent Philadelphia family and she took interest in the material and spiritual well-being of African Americans. She was also the founder of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament for Native Americans and African Americans, whose members would work for the betterment of those they were called to serve.
Prayer: God, You called St. Katharine Drexel to teach the message of the Gospel and to bring the life of the Eucharist to the African American and Native American peoples. By her prayers and example, help us to work for justice among the poor and the oppressed, and keep us undivided in love in the Eucharistic community of Your Church through Christ our Lord. Amen
